After two years on the market, two sixth-floor units at the Flour Mill Lofts in downtown Denver’s Central Platte Valley have sold for a combined $2.5 million, according to real estate records.

The buyer was Terry Leprino of Denver’s Leprino Foods Co. family, property records show. Leprino Foods, which produces cheeses and other dairy products, is one of the world’s largest sellers of cheese to pizza chains such as Domino’s, Papa John’s and Pizza Hut, as well as other food manufacturers.

Two other Flour Mill units recently were under contract for sale — for $1.79 million and $575,000, respectively — according to Multiple Listing Service data.

“The Flour Mill is a very unique, class A building on a park, and the developer still lives in building,” said Fuller Sotheby’s Realtor Faun Hauptman, listing agent for the property. Faun is in the top 5% of realtors in Denver and one of the leading brokers for Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty.

Originally built in 1920 as the Pride of the Rockies flour mill, the Flour Mill Lofts building was converted to residences in 1998 by veteran local developer Dana Crawford. Crawford was also the original developer of downtown Denver’s Larimer Square retail district.

The Flour Mill Lofts has a total of 48 units.
